In the year 1994 former American president Mr. Bill Clinton signed into a law. It was fully supported by the Us Congress. As per this law it became sure that every year on 4th Sunday of July a parents day will be observed in America. It was done in order to make the children realize the indispensability of their parents in their life. Moreover, also to make sure parents get respect that they deserve because they sacrifice their own wishes in order to foster their pampered children.Purpose:

Since then Parents Day got recognition all over the world due to its purpose of making children realize the importance of their parents. Moreover, in this modern ear modern parents are forgetting the importance of fostering their children at their own so this parents day is also a way to make parents realize the importance of leading a successful parental life so that they can achieve every happiness given to them by the God.

Parents day is neither only for making children realize importance of their parents in their lives nor only for educating parents to enjoy the happiness of given by God rather it is also for teaching the growing generation that being parents is not about nurturing children. It also demands unconditional love and whole hearted commitment towards the children. But this also gets implemented on children as well.

We have also forgotten that if the duty of the parents is to lend their finger for learning the art of walking when we are not capable of walking at our own so at the same time when the same parents enter their old age and become feeble so then it becomes our duty to lend them our hand so that they can walk when they are not able to do so at their own.

So I hope this Parents Day 2010 will serve this purpose of making both parents and children realize their duties towards each other.
