First Mother's Day without son a touching story

Posted in : Mother's Day

(added few years ago!)

Now that I have dried up the tears and regained my composure, I want to thank the Citizen and writer Bruce Deachman for an obviously moving tribute to Patrick Lormand and his family that I have known for a long time. Even though it was heart-wrenching to relive all those September emotions.

I was touched that you chose to highlight what a mother and a father go through on the first (and subsequently every) Mothers' and Fathers' Day after such a tragedy, and every day for the rest of their lives. The sense of loss is beyond words, but Bruce Deachman did a hell of a fine job to transmit the emotions felt. It's like we were there along with him.

The Citizen article and the photos described very accurately the emotions felt by Jacques and Sylvie. I know them to be very sensitive and loving persons. They are highly respected citizens and I had the pleasure to work closely with Jacques in many non-profit organizations.
